Game of Thrones – Swords, Dragons and Ice Zombies

There is only one TV show that features all of
this at once and unless you’ve been living under a rock
for the past few years you know what I’m talking about.
After 7 seasons of the show our main characters (or what’s left of them)
finally started paying some attention to the looming threat of Ice
Zombies or White Walkers and it may be too late and when I say may I
mean it is too late. At this point I really don’t see much of a future
for the residents of Westeros other than marching in the Night Kings armies.
Let’s review the combatants on each side and try to asses who has
better chances of coming out on top. On one side you have the Night King,
a magical Ice Zombie who can raise other magical Ice Zombies and can throw
a javelin like a champ. He has hundreds of thousands dead in his armies who
know no fear and are willing to throw their existence at their master’s
command. He is also not a mindless brain munching monstrosity but instead
turns out a pretty smart sentient zombie. At this point calling him a
zombie probably isn’t very accurate. Anyway, along with all of this he
has an Ice dragon that he managed to raise from the dead after javelining
it down. The only hope our heroes seem to have is the magical 700 foot wall
keeping all of that on the other side. Oh, what’s that? The Night King melted
a huge gap in the wall and got all of his forces into Westeros? Well, that’s
not good now, is it? On the other side we have smaller armies consisting of
northmen who can fight in the winter and Dolthraki who with their bare
skinned horseback battle style would probably freeze to death before
reaching the Night King. Right now it really seems like the Night King
is going to decimate everything in his path and cover Westeros and most
likely Essos in an eternal winter. There is one tiny glimmer of
hope it seems. We’ve seen that killing one of the White Walkers
(not to be confused with Wights which are animated corpses rather
than sentient magical zombies) results in his magic being broken
and all Wights under his control also die. This probably means that
killing the Night King and the few White Walkers that are with him
would result in saving the day. The only problem is that the big baddy
is not only smart but strong and most likely skilled when it comes to
fighting (not to mention he has dragon) so taking him out might not be
an easy task. The most likely scenario I can think of is several characters
sacrificing themselves so that the Night King can be taken out and
the world saved. Either that or he wins, eternal winter and show is over.
Whatever the case may be one this is certain, we will find
out soon. What are some of your predictions on the final season?
Who will survive and who will end up joining the Ice Zombie army?
I personally can’t wait to see ^.^
