Deadpool 2 – How?

How? That’s my question. How did they
manage to outdo themselves? I thought making
something funnier and more enjoyable than Deadpool
1 was impossible. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they
proved my thinking wrong, it’s just unbelievable.
The humor seems even better than the last time around.
The storyline is amazing and really feels meaningful
given DP’s growth throughout. They definitely made
something amazing and delightful.
The film starts of about where the first one
left us. DP’s gone international and we are treated
to a mercenary montage including a fun little Hitman
reference. So, everything seems to be going pretty well
for our lovable a-hole until, well to quote the immortal
regenerator himself “time to return to our regularly scheduled
programming”. Meaning his girl gets killed off and he’s left to
find creative ways to kill himself. Spoiler alert-none of them
work. He ends up with Colossus at the mansion and after a pep-talk
joins the X-men as a trainee. They go on their first mission, he
meets little Russel and in an attempt to befriend him kills a guy
in front of a lot of witnesses getting both him and his new friend
sent to the Ice Box. After a few funny scenes and mental images
(I am of course referring to Russels prison wallet) Thanos comes
to try and kill the adorable little shank-happy whippersnapper.
Of course it doesn’t work because DP is there and he loves dubstep.
So our hero picks himself up and assembles X-force. They go on a
mission to save the little tyke during prisoner transportation. After
one of the best crew gathering scenes and plane speeches, in an
unexpected turn everyone dies except Domino. Cable appears, all hell
breaks loose and it all ends with DP torn in half, the whole convoy
wrecked and Russel going off with Juggernaut (who is way bigger than
I’ve ever seen him). This leads the time traveling titan to go and
ask our half man – half growing toddler for help, this spawns another
mental image scene. They all join forces and go to the orphanage
where Russel, now calling himself Firefist, is trying to exact revenge
on an abusive ex-caretaker of his. After some very emotional moments
DP manages to convince him not to and saves him and we’re treated to
a happy ending and one of the best post-credit scenes I’ve ever seen.
Cables time travel device gets fixed by Negasonic and Yukio(Hi Yukiooo)
and DP goes back in time to fix all of Ryan’s mistakes including the
“Deadpool” from Origins. This movie only left me only wanting for more,
they really pulled out all the stops for this one. I couldn’t count all
the easter eggs if I wanted to. The only bad thing about this whole
thing is the fact that we’ll have to wait for the next one.
For those of you who still haven’t seen this movie, what are you waiting?
Go see it now, and for those who seen it, let’s go again. It’s worth
watching a second time knowing what you know from the first watching.
The only thing that’s left is to wait and see if the next one will manage
to outdo this one. We’ll that’s it from me, see you. ^.^
